"The sun rises, the sun falls, the wind blows and the birds sing no matter where you are. These are experiences that unite us all... something we can all enjoy together and be grateful for."

Clinical ecotherapy at Anahata Psychology
Let me start out by explaining the terms ecopsychology, ecotherapy and clinical ecotherapy:
Ecopsychology is the study of the interconnectedness of humans and nature. Furthermore, it examines nature's impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing.
Ecotherapy is applying the tools of ecopsychology in a therapeutic environment - activities in nature and nature-based activities that are beneficial for the therapeutic process. Ecotherapy includes animal assisted therapies.
Clinical ecotherapy can be described as nature-based clinical psychology: It merges research-based clinical interventions for the treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders with a nature-orientated perspective.
Anahata Psychology is located on a wonderful piece of land surrounded by the beauty of nature. Therefore, I do have the great opportunity to offer you evidence-based clinical treatment approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, mindfulness) whilst integrating the beneficial effects of the natural environment: We can train mindfulness outdoors, right where it is practised best; We can face anxiety to the calming sounds of nature; We can evaluate the impact of our worries on our body & mind with the support of animals. - Animal Assisted Clinical Psychology (AACP) at Anahata Psychology means the application of clinical psychology in the healing surrounding of animals, e.g. horses or cows. AACP here at Anahata Psychology does not mean riding as I do not offer mounted sessions at this point in time.
